Behind the Scenes - Telfit Farm

The location for our AW2021/22 photoshoot was the picturesque Telfit Farm. Nestled in a secluded natural amphitheatre in the Yorkshire Dales, this stunning Georgian farmhouse, previously a working farm, has been renovated into an impressive 10-bedroom country escape.

With the surrounding Yorkshire landscapes offering ample opportunities to promote our Autumn 21 collection, the decision to shoot at Telfit was an easy one.  The natural hues and textures of the local moorland, the weathered dry stone walls and rocky outcrops dotted around the fields, provided the perfect backdrop to our substantial Aran jumpers and chunky fishermen’s knits.

The interior of Telfit was no less inspiring. The traditional, classic style, with an emphasis on natural quality materials – copper, stone, marble – perfectly mirror the values of Joseph Turner. Each room has been immaculately styled with premium wallpaper prints and bold paints. Pure cashmere jumpers and handsome Nehru waistcoats in rich autumnal designs worked brilliantly set in cosy lounges with log burners, deep window seats and magnificent countryside views.

Venturing up the farm track past Telfit to the hill-top we were met with breath-taking 360 degree views of Swaledale. Up here, our chunky Whitby Rib jumpers looked fantastic photographed amongst the rolling sea of heather. The views on the descent down to Telfit were just as impressive and the ancient valley of undulating hills and meandering drystone walls were ideal to showcase our popular tweed jackets and corduroy trousers.
